tsb for the wind noise is nv009-07, swb ls460's below vin number 75039579, and l models 75016531. so if your last 8 are below this number than the wind noise kit will fix your car. if your number is higher than this than the fix is already been performed at the plant.

I told the service rep. about the problem & that I can look up the TSB # for him here. He said don't bother since the TSB # may not be the same.
He managed to look up the TSB for the fix in the Canadian computer system anyway, & had the fix done for me to my satisfaction.

I just had the wind noise fix completed on my 460swb. They exchanged both windows and applied foam on both doors. Although I forgot to specifically ask for the TSB number, the reference reflected on service order for the wind noise fix is called NV7015 Combo A 5.6.
The noise on the driver side is gone and is in what I would refer to as acceptable. However, the wind noise on the passenger side seems to be louder. The shop foreman gave me a follow-up call and I told him about the noise on the passenger side. He asked me to bring the car back so that they can road test it again. By the way, the fix was done by a "factory" specialist.
I'll let you know the results of my test drive.......

Unfortunetly, this may not be true - my vin indicated the fix was factory applied, but in face I did not have the laminated windows or foam inserts.

I took my SWB in a few weeks back for the 5000 mile check and asked about the wind issue and the transmission hesitation. They ordered a new driver side window to correct the wind problem and called me when it came in. I took the car in this morning and told them that I wanted the full TSB done and not just a driver's window replacement. After a test drive with the tech, he told me that a factory rep would be out in a week or two to give instruction on the TSB - he suggested we wait on the wind fix until they get the benefit of that training - I wholeheartedly agreed. I left the car with the dealer to get the transmission fix, the homelink programming fix, and I asked them to look into the gracenote update. I'll let you know how it goes. The dealer has been very cooperative so far in making things right but it sure helps to go in armed with the information from this forum (TSB information especially). Thanks!

Gracenote is a system which provides song and track information for your sound system. It is a database that is updated periodically, and was introduced as an option for the ML-equipped LS 460/460 L/600h L.

I brought my car into the dealer today...they are ordering the hardware to prepare to fix the wind noise for my vehicle. I will let you know the results once complete. For those of you who have had the fix...has it only been "factory" technicians that have had to come out to your local dealer to do the actual fix or have the regular service personnel done it for you?

I'm interested to hear the result of the transmission update. My dealer has not worked on any cars yet with this TSIB.

I had both the wind noise fix as well as the transmission fix. The factory tech did work on my car. The dealer has to do two of them before the Lexus tech is able to let them fix cars on their own. After the transmission fix, I no longer have the delay when leaving from a stop after 10 seconds.

I picked up my car today after having the transmission hesitation fix and the homelink programming fix. The hesitation after stopping is gone. After taking HOURS to program my garage door opener before (and never being able to get my neighbor's door programmed), it took me about a minute to program it this time. The factory rep will be here on the 8th of August to perform the wind noise fix on my car (first to be done at this San Diego dealer). The last thing I asked about was the gracenotes issue - I was told that the dealer has the tool to do the update but that "no updates have been issued". I asked if this would be done automatically when the cars come in for maintenance and the tech (a great guy) said that it would be done only if you asked for it. Has anyone had a Gracenotes update yet and is this really the way the process is going to work?

I'll let everyone know about the results of the wind noise fix after next week.
