Smile Rear seat entertainment in the LS460

It seems that there is not that much options out there for nicely integrated rear seat entertainment system, so Vizualogic was the obvious choice.
They have several available product for the LS460, as it is a bit of a big car, so I opt for the large 9" screen headrest DVD player, the A-1290.

The color of the headset seem slightly different in the picture, but I believe the flash emphases this, as I never notice it in daylight.

You can play 2 different movies on each screen or the same movie on both, it has wireless headphone (using a FM transmitter that also be picked by the car radio), you can play CDs, hook up and iPod for Audio and Video.

Video quality is good, not great I must say, it lack a bit of horizontal resolution, but you have to be a pro all things video to notice :-). Controls are easy with a remote and buttons below the display.

We got theses from VIP Media Sales in Carlsbad for $1895, installed... at home, the technician come to our place and installed the headrest in less than one hour, great price and great service, I will definitely recommend them.

Looks great.

I've never figured out why Lexus would only opt to install a rear DVD unit in their L at 70K plus when you can purchase other vehicle marques with the same for less than half the price.

Very nice! Looks like you also have a Britax car seat in your back seat. It is a bulky seat but safe for our little precious back seaters

Are they supposed to be comfortable ? I never actually rest against them, my understanding was that they are here to protect your neck from a crash in the back.

It is indeed bulky but there is plenty of room in the back of the LS for it ! Plus it grow with the kid, definitely one of the best car seat out there.

the headrest on the ls460 (stock) are very soft and comfortable indeed. far better than any other cars i have been in (again, the s class is the close 2nd). on my previous cars, i didn't even bother to lean on it, but on my ls460l, i tend to use it a lot, just like a pillow

I must said it is slightly less soft and comfortable than the OEM one.
