Pretty much summed it up for a black car

Does it rain alot in Maryland?
If so, soap the car down and let the rain rinse

If it's snowy, does the snow scratch the car?

1. Black =luxurious
2. Smoky granite =good color if you're undecided b/t the 2
3. Silver =low maintenance

I've owned several Black vehicles, 2 suburbans, 2 corvettes and I know how great they look cleaned. We have also had a 1991 350 sd from new and still own it, its a tan metallic and looks great...never, ever see dirt on it... the silver would be the same. Coming in from the airport this afternoon, a BRAND new lexus ls 460 Black on Black pulled up next to me with new tags... is this karma, or some one messing with my mind? ...And on top of it all, while I was flying down to FLorida, were the weather right now is Great...my wife test drove a Mini and loved it... so this might just work out... she gets the Mini, rigged her way and I get the "little" old Lexus.

A few years ago I had a black car and a silver car at the same time. Once when they were both sitting out in the Texas sun I put my hand on them to compare. I couldn't leave my hand on the black car...it was HOT. The silver car felt relatively cool. I prefer silver in hot weather. If I lived up north, black would be my choice.

Get the best of both worlds, go for the smokey granite. This color is chamelon-like in that it looks black at night.

I don't know why everyone doesn't get a Noble Spinel Mica. Not only is it the BEST color, but when someone asks you what color your new car is, and you tell them Noble Spinel Mica, they have no idea what color your car is!

Nope, it's when you wash it and you don't rinse it down with water well enough before washing that usually makes the scratches. All of that salt, dust, dirt stays on the body unless you blast it off first.

For me, although initially it was very hard to tell, now I can spot SWB vs. LWB quite well, and I think that they both wear black or silver a bit differently. The hugeness of the LWB wears black especially well, silver is good on the LWB but works especially well on the SWB IMO. But then again, I haven't had the chance to examine a black SWB in daylight.
