Default Disabling GPS Signal

To Someone Who can Answer:

How to actually disable just the GPS part of the lexus l460, but only the GPS signal part, not the navigation itself because there are other controls that need to be in place, but the gps part, I want to just turn that off.

If you can please confirm and let me know, thanks.

Not sure what you mean, since disabling the GPS will disable the navigation.

A series of well aimed ground to air long range missiles accurately aimed at those 24 nefarious Global Position Satellites should yield excellent results. They are positioned in a geosynchronous orbit 12,600 miles from the earth, so you'll need a lot of gas to get them there. With a lot of patience and determination, not to mention extensive resources, you should be able to turn off these signals. Good Luck, and let us know how it all works out.

Hey, don't wish him luck - I just paid extra for the PS Nav Hack so I could use those satellites, and if he shoots them down I've wasted my money!

I'm going to venture a guess.

The OP may think the LS has an OnStar-type system where the car's movements can be tracked by outside persons (that's how they know where you are in the event of an accident, or when you ask the "concierge" for directions to some place, for example). And if the car has Lexus Link, it's possible it does, since LL offers some of the services On* does.

But Lexus Link is optional (for example, my car doesn't have it), so the GPS in my car should be only a receiver, and not any kind of a transmitter or locator.

If the OP wants the navigation system to work, he'll have a hard time if he unhooks the GPS antenna, since it's kinda integral to nav operation.

So - freenavi, we don't know what you're looking for. If you'll elaborate a little, maybe someone can help you.

OK, I'll bite. Why would you want to do that?

Default Disable GPS?

I have a 2017 Lexus IS and it drives me crazy that my husband can see where the car is at any given moment with the Lexus ap he has downloaded. This is primarily his car so I rarely use it but when I do I don’t want him to be able to see me at any point in time since I can’t see him. Can this be disabled somehow from the car itself?
it blows me away that he can see when the windows are down or when the car was started. Ugh!

Nope it's his car so leave his stuff alone lol. You would not appreciate if he starts moving things around in the closet or cabinets.

You can try contacting the Lexus Technical Specialist at your local Lexus Dealer. All Lexus Dealers have someone assigned to assist customers with technical questions about the car. I highly doubt this person would know the answer off the top of their head but hopefully they can look into it and get back to you with a definitive answer. I would suggest changing the storyline about avoiding detection by a spouse as the Technical Specialist may not want to get involved in something like that.

The only way to do this is to turn of Lexus Enform. I have it on three of our Lexus cars so I know where the cars are at any point in time. I can see where my wife and daughter are (at least where their cars are) and they can also see where I am. It's a safety and security issue.

She must not want her husband to know which store she is spending money at or maybe that she made a stop by her pool boy's house to get her "pool serviced"?
