yes, i would love that lane keep assist function.
as for the driver monitor system...lexus.com still doesnt have this for the regular LS nor the hybrid. all you get is the precollision system but there is not mention of a driver monitoring system

the launch edition ls600hl were advertised with advanced pre-collison system, which includes the driver monitor system. and the 600hl can be equipped with the rear entertainment system. if they mean individual screens on head rests, now that's off

Jim Press said, if I recall correctly, that the LS 460 L features "individual DVD systems...even a cooler, there's no reason to leave the back seat, you can live there..."
It's not specific, but it could leave the impression that it is 2 screens, not one. That said, in the Exec Class seating package, there are 2 DVD systems, the front seat DVD player, and the rear seat DVD player. You can play two DVDs at the same time, but there are not two rear screens, rather the main (front) system with all the car speakers and NAVI screen, and the secondary (rear) system with the headphones and fold-down screen.
Jim Press also said that the HDD can hold "5,000 of your songs....it'll take 3 years to hear all those songs..." which is an exaggeration. It seems that at the time, they had not fully finalized the specs on these offerings. IIRC it is 2,000 songs, and depends on how often you listen/burn.
The Euro/JDM/Intl spec LS 460 naturally has more of the LKA, Driver Monitoring, Active Rear Headrests, Rear-Seat DVD etc. on packages. For the headrests it had to do with US regulatory approval according to CNN.

LOL, the audio of that press conference is seared in my memory!!! Actually I really admire how well it was presented, the music, the set, the speech--there really were some gasps when the new LS was revealed.
I'll take that as a backhanded compliment.
