Default Where do you put your phone

While you are driving. I have a little pad on the dash on the right of the steering well that holds the phone from sliding. But recently, I think the pad has lost its "sticky" and isn't doing what it should be doing.

Any suggestions? Pics are always welcome hehe

not an LS460 driver, but in all my cars, i put in on the actualy door, where there is a hole for the use of a handle to close the door. this is a great spot IMO. i guess it migh not hold larger blackberries and such depending on the car model. my iphone fits great everywhere because its so slim

to clarify

negative. it's COMPLETELY hollow on the ls460. you put there, it will full right into the pocket underneath. on my old gs400 and sc430 they were both good and i used that, but the ls460 is a different story (forgot what the gs350 is like)

If it's skinny enough, put it in the ashtray - unless you smoke of course.

Belt clip or cup holder. Like Rom said, there is really no need to take it out or keep it on the dashboard.

It's also hollow on the LS 430, I've dropped things through before...nothing major though. On previous ES models IIRC they were not hollow, and could be used as 'storage.'

Ashtray but I don't like putting it there because I prefer to have it closed.

That's one bit I miss of the LS 430...the cellphone 'drawer' but there's always the center console box in the LS 460, if you have bluetooth on. Although that often uses a bit of cellphone battery...in which case it may be best to put it near the electrical outlet/charger.

Just get some computer acoustic foam and line the bottom of the cup holder with it and then the cup holder makes a pefect cell phone (or any other device) holder. The phone stays in place and doesn't rattle around. I've used it in my last two Lexus' and it works great.

LOL, yeah I think that drawer by the steering wheel is best for coins.

What I was talking about was the drawer at the center stack area. From where this driver's hand is reaching, it's to the right and down. Just above the heated seat control *****. The drawer is accessed via a wood panel cover, and slides out.

There are two movable wood panels there--top one for the CD changer, bottom right for the drawer. I think this was the only LS that had that, the first 2 gens had an ashtray at the base of the center stack.
