Ok, so I finnaly got around to checking the manual on my car. The findings, my car is a October 2007 model, but the US 600hL's are all 2008 models.
I was curious , so I asked my dealer whats up with the models in other part of the world? Apparently we have different cars to what the rest of the world gets, whether this is better or not I do not know?
What privileges do you guys get in the States? I know I get door to door service on oil changes or services(they come and pick the car up from my business) and free car washes when ever I bring the car to lexus.

I would imagine anything built after late September 07 would be a 08 model. I know my LS was built in Dec 07 and is an 08. I dont think we get door to door service in terms of p/u for oil changes but we get a loaner
. I guess you could always work somthing out with your advisor for a pick up if you needed to.

In Canada door-to-door is always offered, but I decline it. If anything happens, I will ultimately suffer the insurance consequence down the road which could devalue the car by thousands, so I steer clear of that one.

All US/Canada LS600hL's are 08 models, even though they may be delivered in August 2007
There are some other models that's launched as early as spring(March/April) & they will still call it the next year's model

I live in MD and have door to door service available and offered to me at all times, but like Burnaby, I always decline as I don't want some teenager driving my car and then me suffering the consequences. Car wash is always available and is free.

I checked the under the hood, but I have no idea where the plates are? Is under the cover for the battery? or on the other side? Would this be the only way to tell, b/c the Japanese manuals are obviously different?
