Default LS460 sales decline 25% for the month

Headline from the 3/4/08 St Pete Times. Hopefully this means good deals. Maybe Lexus will finally make a sport edition of the LS460 to interest those who want a car with improved road feel and handling.

really skeptical about sport edition, but it's definitely hint for better deals.

the market is super low now coz' of economy. not just lexus but mb and bmw they are suffering bad as well. market is scary

Yep- locally there's an opportunity to pick up a 2007 LS460 with less than 10k miles for 52k.

To be honest, I'm pretty tempted to pull the trigger but there are several things holding me back for now.

1) I agree with RXSF, although I have some extra funds sitting around, I know I can sink it into the business but I'm not ruling out the LS460 later on down the road when the resale value will be low.
2) At 30 years old, I'm afraid I'll feel too old driving the LS460.
3) I have a dog and I see some small scratches on the leather in my GS. It would worry me that I'd scratch up the leather in the LS.

Whatcha guys think? Number 2 makes me the most worried.

hey come on cliff, i am also 30!

but man, 52k for a ls460, that's pretty insane. i agree the market is very slow, whoever in the market for a car is definitely in a buyer's market

i would be most worried about number 3!

the new LS out of all the LS's looks the least like an old mans car. the styling is pretty "this generation". i mean your 30, a few more years, and your "middle aged". might as well accept it now. lol

RXSF - yes, number 3 has me worried too and i don't really mind it much since i have a complete set of oem leather covers in the closet but you're right. a practically new ls460 + dog = possible problems.

the aniline leather on the ls is even softer as well, that doesn't help

Keep worrying and you'll soon feel like 60, and then you can get the car!

I'm 22 and I am in the market for an LS. I've heard that comment a lot like get a M45 etc the Lexus is for old people/retired people.

Maybe it's just those are the people who can afford it lol.

There was a talk about age before and many people are younger than you think. I bought mine when I was 29. Most people our age can't afford these cars and THAT is why they don't own them...

seriously, people buying the ls460, i don't think they would be the same crowd considering the m (which is a competitor for gs)
