Here's a new one,
If you're installing some speakers and sub and you have the trunk liner and back seat out...take out that ridiculous pass thru door, then you can have the sub pointed towards front or rear of the car depending on your preferences.
It doesn't take up much room in the trunk and you don't haul ski's in a RWD car anyway.
There is a smog/air quality sensor with filter that controls automatic recirculation for the climate control. The small sensor is at the top, front passenger side of radiator. One fastener to remove it and it can easily be opened to replace or wash the sensor filter. You'll be shocked at how dirty it is on all but newer cars.
Very interesting! You wouldn't happen to have something to illustrate where that sensor is exactly, would you friend?
I don't, but if you follow my description of it's location, you can find it on your car. Mine is 2013. If memory serves it's about 3" x 1" x 1/2" thick and black in color.
2 gallons of gas left after the message "Low Fuel" in the dash (not the orange sign on fuel gauge). At this point car will not display the rage left.
I didn't not deliberately test this, it was just a coincidence. Low fuel sign was "on" when I left for work in the morning with 65 miles range so I decided to refuel on my way home. Around 23 miles range, on my way back, that message changed to "Low Fuel". Car would not display range left. I immediately took next exit and refueled. It took 20.2 gallons and total fuel capacity is 22.2 gallons.
It's more towards the left-hand side. Pull it off with the plug and 10mm bit, and you can see how you open it (small strait screwdriver will pop it apart) , Clean the filter. If it's beyond cleaning, there are some 3rd party options to replace it with.
Finding an OEM replacement for the filter does not exist. I actually contacted Denso about this, and they do not sell it as an extra part, I was told to replace the whole smog filter.

I see you have your sub facing the cabin. Have you tried facing it the other direction? Just wondering how much(if any)difference it’ll make.

Yes I tried both ways, when I have it facing rearward it causes a buzz in my rear tail lights. You can only hear it from outside but I just don't like it.
I tried to isolate the tail lights with some rubber strips...didn't help, something inside the housing buzzes/vibrates so forward with the pass thru door open relieves some pressure I suppose.
