So I take my new 2008 LS 460 out for a drive this past Saturday. Pull over to get something to eat. Park it away from everyone, end spot and what happens? Some ******* backed into my rear bumper. Best part...they left a note with a fake name and phone number.
Anyway I need your help in terms of where I should get it fixed. I live in Walnut Creek, CA but purchased the car at Longo Lexus in SoCal. Has anyone used the Longo body shop? I don't care about the cost as much as I want someone who is going to paint the bumper off of the car. I don't want some masking tape job bull****. Any thoughts would be appreciated. I would also be interested in good experiences or recommendations for body shops in Northern California. Thanks guys.

I don't have any body shops to recommend but you are doing the right thing having the bumper removed and painted. Painting it on the car will almost always result in peeling clearcoat in a few months.
Sorry about the car.

try going to Anaheim Hills Auto Body and Paint. I was hit not too long ago and i went there, and though it was a little expensive, the work was amazing. I would check them out for sure!

well if you live in northern CA, then your best bet is to go to lexus of fremont. they are the only dealership that has an auto collision repair as part of the dealership, and not a 3rd party.

Longo said that they had a body shop in-house?? I drive down to LA from SFO regularly so I guess I'm going to have to make another unscheduled trip. I will definitely check out Anaheim Hills Auto Body and Lexus Fremont. This is going to be a mess....plus my insurance company told me to get a police report within 24 hours of filing a claim.

Not for nothing, and you may not want to pursue it anyway, but did the place where you parked have outside surveillance cameras? They made have caught it on tape.
