It's all personal opinion, but I have to disagree with some on here about styling between the two models. Personally, I think the SWB looks better. Something about the SWB looks more athletic to me. I have the black on black and TO ME, the SWB pulls the look off much better.

Mine is fully loaded, so the only thing I might be missing versus the LWB would be the air suspension ride. Maybe that would be a worthy benefit for choosing the LWB.

Truthfully, I think there's plenty, and I do mean plenty of rear seat leg room in the SWB. But that's just me.
I agree with this statement.

Frankly I can't imagine either LWB nor SWB owners regretting their decision. You buy what you need (in the case of size and options) and also what looks best to you personally.

Someone mentioned greater availability of the Pre-Collision System in the LWB. I know for the 2007 model year the determininent was not the vehicle length, but rather whether the vehicle was being shipped to a snow belt state. Since snow and ice can block the sensors, Lexus didn't want to ship this option to these states unless a buyer specifically ordered it. This seemed overly cautious to me since I don't know anyone who would use radar cruise control in a snow storm anyway!

Interesting, thx for sharing that info about the allocations. Yes indeed during snowy weather the sensors could be occluded.

My only small regret is the lack of air suspension on SWB. I would love to be able to get the air controller to lower it.

But big picture I have no regrets. I have had mine about 6 months and still look for any excuse to drive it. I find myself hitting 80 way too often on the freeway because the power never ends and the ride so incredibly smooth.

Why would I have any regrets? Unless someone else is driving its irrelevant that the car is a SWB, suspension notwithstanding. Save the money and enjoy the ride. JMHO.
