Looking For Quietest 245/40/20 Tires
i just put nitto invo 245/40ZR20s on my LS 460. i have lost my quite comfort ride provided by the stock setup. a knowledgeable and veteran CL member suggested that michelin ps2, though expensive, is the way to go. i want to know if all of you out there concur or does anyone else has another suggestion and possibly a less expensive alternative. thanks for your help.

the ps2 is very good tire, VERY expensive with horrible tread wear. it has superb handling and is indeed quiet, however for a car like the ls460, and if your main objective is daily driving and want a comfort ride with reasonable wear, that i strongly suggest AGAINST the ps2.
i would suggest the michelin pilot sport a/s instead. it's michelin so it's still a bit expensive, but better than ps2. it's all season so tread wear is much better. it still has surprisingly well handling in both dry and wet imho, and it's very quiet and comfortable too.
that tire gets really high mark from me. i had them before

I too would recomend Michelin Pilot Sport A/S. I've had them on two cars and been well satisfied. They aren't really cheap but I guess they are reasonable for what you get.

On a prior vehicle (05 350z) I had Falken GRB-FK451 tires which handled much better than their price point. Has anyone tried the newer Falken GRB-FK452 on the LS or any other vehicle? From what I remember both these tires had had a silica compound which made them extremely well handling on the road.
