You really should consider a 2009 AWD. Do what ever it takes, work a little longer or what ever to step up. Don't get an 07.
I have an 07 that I purchased certified. My wind noise issues are quite minimal and I've had very little in the way of other issues (all TSiB). My mileage has been great and only 1 rattle that was easily rectified. In other words, it's been a gem for a new model year.

I have now been looking for 18 months for the right car. I may have found it. I probably could have ordered one, but I don't generally buy new cars, except for the wife.
I have driven 20 to 25 cars in that time; but because very few of the drives are on the hwy, I don't hear the noise.

I find the 460 seats quite comfortable.

Have you found a LS 460 for you yet?
There is only one Lexus dealer in Las Vegas, did you test drive all 25 cars from the Lexus dealer on Sahara?

I am looking for one too and haven't found what I like yet.

I find LS460 is your best bet.

I hadn't test driven my 08 LS460 before buying it, but it turned out to be the best buy.

I want to assert one point that is ML option is quite important if you listen to music often. You can go wrong with Advanced Parking Guidance System, you can go wrong with rims and other options but trust me you can't go wrong with ML as it is the second important decision to make (the first one is obviously buying a LS460 ).

I can't compare LS460 with any other cars of any brand as mine is the first buy in my life, but I'm totally satisfied with every aspect of this buy.

If you haven't bought yours yet, you might consider waiting for the mid-life changes on LS460 2010. It might be worth waiting (?!?!)

Good luck!

There is no doubt in my mind... I drove both (LS430 extensively) before buying my LS460. The look, feel, ML, etc. etc. I like the look of the LS430, but it's severely dated at this point.

Did I mention the ML? HA!. Seriously though, it's simply incredible. I have had people ask me what I've done aftermarket many times. They are blown away when they hear it's OE.

Does the wind noise annoy? Yes. But the vehicle is so perfect that it provides the wind noise a larger platform to annoy. You wouldn't take note of it in any other vehicle IMHO.

I test drove every used LS 460 they got at Lexus of LV, along with every one they got at Luxury Motors in Henderson. I bought a 460L a couple of months ago. Silver with a Wald kit, 22" rims, 3M clear bra, tint, 17000 miles.

I also went to California a couple of times to look at cars. A much better selection down there. It seems thay don't get a lot of used ones here in Vegas
