Default open door alarm

while applying the leather protection on the seats and dashboard, keeping the door open, I get annoyed by the open door alarm

Is there away to stop the alarm so I can enjoy what I am doing.

thanks

remove the key from the ignition, or turn the key to the ACC position

there is no key to be removed from ignition....

myth bust, 2 things you can do
1) with all doors closed, start the car, and then shut down. then open the door. it shouldn't sound

2) if doors are open, make sure your car is in P. without your foot on the brakes, press on start button to "cycle" through it (stop when car is shut off and steering wheel tilt up). door alarm should be on. look at the door jam, you should see a black rubber circle around where the latch is. press on it. the alarm should go off. hold on for 1-2 secs and let go. it should be quiet now
