Default Review: 2008 LS460 SWB Nobel Spinel Mica

I've been driving around in a 2008 LS460 for about a week now. I will post my thoughts shortly. This particular LS460 is an oddball configuration including the color. It has ML/NAV, APGS and a couple other options not common.

What is most notable to me is that i'm averaging 19-20 mpg in mixed driving (not bad for a big car w/a large V8), and the hazzard button flashes with the turn signal indicators on the dash. Pretty cool touch!

More to come!

told you before, ryan the ls460 gas mileage is pretty damn good. on my mixed driving i actually got 22mpg myself (compared to 24 i got in the gs350). that's crazy for being so much heavier, v8, and 80 more horses

I'm just wondering what the black paddle-like things sticking up out of your roof in the first picture are for. Maybe they explain why you are getting such good mileage. (OK, j/k.)

But I don't understand what you're saying about the hazard button flashing. Are you saying every time you hit the turn signal, the hazard button in the center of the dash flashes?

Otherwise - Nice-looking rig!

Actually, when you activate the hazard lights, the little red triangle blinks in unison with the rest of the flashers.

Yeah, I just got one in March, same color, without ML.
Getting the same mileage around town, any road miles and it goes up pretty fast.

My turn signals don't behave like your though. The only time I see the hazard light is when I pushed the button to activate them.

I'm kinda looking for some Teleios wheels for it.

Whit

Interestingly I have been seeing Nobel Spinel Mica more than ever before lately, yesterday I saw an LS 460 L in the color, and this afternoon I followed another LS 460 L in Nobel Spinel Mica for a bit...which passed by a parked LS 460 SWB in the same color! Interesting contrast in size.

LOL!!!! I would say I am an occasional Lexus photographer, but since the new CA law about cell use while driving, I cannot follow and take pics like I did at that LS 600h L press tour last year.

What I would LOVE is to test drive an LS 460 for a week or so...that would be a dream...
