Default When do next model year details show up?

I had been thinking my last Land Cruiser payment was in August, thus I could jump on the 460L about that time, but it turns out my last payment isn't until October.

I know I could go for an 08 and probably save the same money as my payments, vs waiting for an 09.

But it would sure be nice to know what new goodies the 09's would have. I'm not interested in the AWD that has already been presented here.

Like for example, I waited for a 2004 Land Cruiser for just one additional feature over the 03 - the backup camera. Now I'll never own another car without one.

Might Lexus have listened here and make the Nav usable while in motion (they are competing with the germans head to head after all).

Eek out another MPG or two?

I know it's only 3 years into the cycle, there won't be major changes, but little things can be important too.

When do they typically officially release new feature information on these models?

Thanks....

Going on recent years, the official press announcement of next year's model, with some upgrades, occurs around October (IS 250/350, GS 460), however a specifications list for the next year is sometimes released in August (GS 350/GS 460).

don't expect to get better MPG, it will be the same engine (my guess of course). i have a feeling facelift won't happen until end of 2009 as 2010 model

Wait for the new one. They will change something whether it be software, noise correction or add a little something. Plus the depreciation will be less on an '09. You should be able to extend your lease by 3 months to allow you to make the decision...

I agree, 2 years is too soon for a facelift, usually happens after 3 years for the LS (& other models in it's class)
