Default How do you change HID bulbs

I would like to change my low beams to 6000K HID bulbs, but I cant find any info on how to access the bulb. The manual says take it to the dealer, I also tried searching CL forums and came up empty. Can someone help with this. My aim is to get 6000k low beams and 6000k fogs.

Default headlight

the dealer will charge you alot of money. the way i did it was took part of the wheel well off and and stick your hand right thru to the head light.... but, its going to have to be done by feel. its pretty simple. same for the fogs do it from underneath but i had to put in a relay.

have you seen what 6000k looks like? the color of the light is very nice and compliments the car well, and for what $100 why wouldn't you if you could.

If you attempt this, be sure to wear a latex glove, avoid touching the glass part of the bulb. Your finger oils will form a hot spot on the glass and lifetime will be significantly reduced.

jeshie7, do you have any pics of the procedure????

I would assume you would have to replace the entire head lamp to gain the right reflectors for the Led head lights. Also when a head lamp goes out you get a warning light. I'm thinking if you change to LED set up you may get a warning light lit all the time because I'm guessing the LED's use less watts than the Hid's.

I don't think anybody ever said anything about LED lights.

Latex gloves are a MUST though as 350Dave mentioned.

sorry, you must have misunderstood something i said. I was talking about changing the 4300k bulb to 6000k on the ls460, no LED's involved.
