Doesn't work any better than on the LS430UL, doesn't work any worse.

My issue is that it doesn't do me any good when I'm driving by myself, and you can't keep stuff cool when the car is turned off.

So, basically, an Oooh/Aaah feature, and that's about it.

Remember that the key is to turn on the rear air conditioning. This can be done from the front, but it is not obvious how. There is an icon at the top of the climate cntrol screen that gets you a second page from which you can engage the rear air conditioner, I believe.

I wasn't aware of that.

Thanks

Yes, it is necessary to have the rear A/C on...I think this applies also to the cool box on the LX 570...

There's also a little trap door that must be opened in the box that allows cool air to flow in.

Default Remove beverage cooler?

We are unable to get the trunk open (tried all the tricks on you tube I think) so we are trying to go through the back seat but are unable to see how to remove the beverage cooler to do so. Anyone know how to open this up? 2007 LS460L Executive model

Thanks for reviving this thread. I learned 2 new things about our 2010 LS460L that we have owned for a little over 10 years. We bought it when it came off of lease in June of 2014. We have the upgraded rear seat option and I knew we had the cool box. What I did not know was about the 2nd page of the climate page and the icon getting there listed in Woppenhe's Aug 08 post or Johnny's Aug 08 post regarding the sliding trap door in the cool box. We have never used the cool box as no one hardly is ever in the back seat. It is nice to know I can the rear AC on from the dash. Thanks Again.

I just need to be able to remove or open that up so that I can get to the trunk from the back seat as our trunk will not open at all. getting ready to sell this car and need to make sure we don't leave anything in the trunk. hoping having access to the trunk from the back seat will allow us to get a better idea of why the trunk will not open at all. thanks.

If it's a 4 seater with 4-zone climate - there's no way to access trunk from inside, there's a wall, with rear a/c unit mounted on the other side.
