Looks like Lexus lists output closer to "whp" (wheel horsepower) while AWD with Torsen LSD decreases efficiency.

no way, 380hp for ls460 rwd is far from the real whp of the car, just like other lexus models.

for example the is-f, rated 416hp, people dyno and the whp is like 340

Relation between AWD and RWD whp may reflect in specs though... but yes it's pointless.

But can Lexus decrease AWD output just to distance it from LS600hL? (According to power and weight relation LS600hL is somewhat faster than new 460L AWD)

Has anyone talked price on AWD with their dealer yet? So for, mine is saying that they will accept MSRP only.

I'd switch dealers, he's living in a pipe dream.

When I asked a Lexus salesman about AWD for '09 today he didn't even know AWD was coming. It is annoying that you pay a know nothing salesman whenever you buy a Lexus.

Question Grace Notes? Not sure what they are??

Sorry for sounding like a rookie..but I keep seeing references to Grace notes and I dont know what they are?
I do know that its frustrating when you look for a song/aritist/album, etc..Lexus only can give you 8 or so characters and mErcedes and BMW give you full titles, etc.

have they changed that and is that what grace notes are?

Gracenotes are a song title/info database feature, loading most CD's with a Gracenote-equipped LS will cause the audio system to search for and display relevant song information, provided that the Gracenote database in the car has the CD in it.
