Default Need deal advice ...

Not sure if this is an appropriate question for this forum but (apologies in advance) here I go:-

2008 SWB LS460
  • Navigation/Mark Levinson
  • Advanced Parking Guidance System
  • Intuitive Parking Assist
  • One Touch Open/Close Power Trunk & Power Door Closers
  • Comfort Plus Package
  • Preferred Accessory Package

Plus the addition of Lexus 19" 5-spoke (Touring) wheels and all season tires

$67,885 plus tax & license

How does this compare to other recent deals you guys have seen?

Do I pull the trigger?

Advice appreciated.

That really isnt a good deal, you can do way better than that especially with the 09s coming in,I just picked mine up a little over a week ago SWB same options minus the touring wheels for $61,320.50.I seen those wheels on ebay brand new or slightly used for under 1k.So dont pull the trigger yet, Negotiate as much as you can,I sent my salesman into his bosses office at least 5 times to get lower #s.They are not the only Lexus dealer on the planet.Go to another dealer and compare, thats if you didnt already.Good Luck!

Thanks for the feedback. $61,320 for the same options sounds like a great deal - the wheels add something but clearly not $7k.

I'll keep on pushing - thanks.

My bad, sorry for the miss info, the $61,320 was the capitalized cost,so with taxes it came out to $65,084.00 so I guess your not doing bad at all,I do like those wheels better than the 18s.I would send him back in the office a couple of times until they say there is no way I can go any lower doesnt hurt to try, again sorry for the miss info.

My quote is *before* tax so I think your first number is comparable?

I had driven an LS for 5 years before making this buying choice - I am not going to get in to a LS vs XF thread, we each make our choices for our own reasons.

If anyone wants to know more about my decision based on testing them both feel free to PM me.

Mandingo Congrats!- I stopped in to the Jag dealer the other day after having driven a 460L and they had a XF Super Charged White with the red/black leather interior.... Fully loaded (I think most with supercharger) are fully loaded. I love the lines of the XF and combined with the red leather it was NICE.

This next car is for my wife and if the Jag was a bit larger I might consider it OH - and she is a bit worried about JAG reliability/Warranty.

I was told that they are working on a 7 Series (SiZE) model and that it may be out in 2 years....

Are there deals to be had on the XF's - like Invoice or is that out of the question??

When I got there they had 15 or so XF SuperCharged ones that looked like they had been thu Hell and back (Dirty beyond belief...) I asked the sales guy the story on them an he said all of the DEMO units that were used for Press Drive/Demo were shipped back thru NCAL for cleaning and then off to the Auction. He would not hazard a guess at how much they will acuction off at...

Mandingo, you might want to visit this forum -

http://www.jagdriver.com/forum/index.php

I visit it occasionally because my wife has a Jag. Its not nearly as active as this board, but its a nice group just like here.

The prices are coming down - they were charging $5k over MSRP at the start but I wouldn't describe them as "deals" yet, especially since the supercharged is a new 2009 model.

It is always a trade off - Lexus has beautiful interiors and super reliability but the Jag has a stunning driving experience and is head-turning in the styling department.

I always wanted a 4 door Aston Martin and this is as close as I can find (until they release the Aston Martin Rapide that is ...).
