Anyone have 19" Touring wheels on *SWB* LS460?
I am closing in on a deal to get an 08 with these 19" wheels substituted on instead of the 18's.
I have read some threads that seem to imply they won't work properly on a SWB but then I have heard others that have successfully made the substitution.
Let me know if you are currently running on this combination and if you are having any issues.

For some reason Lexus scared everyone when the first introduced the LS and said that wheel changes would not work on the SWB but since then so many people have done it. I am planning on doing it myself in the spring.

I was thinking of doing this myself,I think the offset for all the LS's are the same,I was wondering myself if the 19'' LS600 wheels would be an issue?Another thing is the ride quality 18's vs 19's,It must get a softer and smoother ride with the 18s,They can probably take hard impacts from pot holes better than the larger rims, but then again Im just guessing I was never in an LS with no other than 18s,I am curious of the difference.

I was seriously considering swapping my previous 460's P235/50-R18 wheels and was very close to doing so after doing a lot of asking, in spite of what I found out. My dealer thought it would be OK, but there was that ominous warning put out by Lexus that held me back. My dealer speculated there might be some "minor" contact with the suspension under certain load conditions with the P245/45-R19 tires, as they are slightly wider (0.39 inch diff). No biggie, but that may be why Lexus warns against doing this.
Here are a couple of pics to keep you dreaming...

My dealer had said that he doesn't like aftermarket wheels but it was mainly a quality concern. He said that if they are the same size (meaning same size as the touring) then they should be fine.

OK - these claim to be "Lexus OEM" wheels but are only $799 for a set of 4 versus thousands from Lexus.
Some wheels are identfiied as "replica" on their site but these are not.
Sounds too good to be true but their eBay feedback is excellent - anyone have any opinion on these?

The guy is a Power Seller with a 99.8% Feedback on 13,398 transactions; you can depend on him. They are probably rims swapped at the Port of Entry, not unlike the same ones featured by our official Club Lexus Vendor, Sewell Lexus' Parts, although theirs are a little bit more.
