yeah , also me, i do all the stuff by my self ( and the car remain under warrenty if i change oil and filter ) thats all what they said lol

mmmm
about cost, i will provide them in our currency and then convert it.
Engine oil (8ltr): 170 AED = 46.2787 USD
Oil filter : 30 AED = 8.16682 USD
labor : 10 AED = 2.72227 USD

Total = 210 AED = 57.16189 USD every 10k km although the oil seems it con go more 5k
i use Castrol Majnetic 10w-40 ( weather is not cold here, alhough im thinking to change it to 5w-20 for winter, coz sometimes it reaches 6C in the morning and @ noon below 30

thats what i have been spending every service untill now.
my milage is 47K km.

i read the manual and i already set for service in the service menu, for diffrential, coolant, gear oil, air filters, etc and i do rotation every 20k km

Does this have any effect on your warranty? On my 7 I was told that if I did not have my maintenance schedule check'mark'd that any warranty claim could be questioned.

well of course it can be questioned no matter what, but it's up to them to prove that whatever not done is the cause of the problem

I don't do the maintenance stuff as set out in the manual either, and never have. Note that it is usually referred to as "Recommended Service" and it's just that. If you do the oil changes and filters, you're not likely to run into any trouble.

And when you get your tires rotated (which I've learned you need to do with the LS), have them check the brakes and rotors visually while the wheels are off.

Like Rominl said, warranty isn't an issue unless they can show that some maintenance item you failed to do was the cause of a failure.

This maintenance records question is mostly confined to private sales. If you're trading up to another Lexus, the question never comes up. Better to let sleeping dogs lie, besides the price spread can amply make up for any inadequate scheduled maintenance by the owner - unless the car sputters in on three wheels of course.

On the leasing side, it may become an issue, as they are always looking for excuses to get more money from you. When trading to another brand, they're just happy to corral a new convert, so they're also unlikely to make too much fuss about it.

A couple of questions for you experienced guys/gals out there.

1) What are they quoting you for 15000 mile service these days? I'm up for one and my usual is Watertown, MA dealer.

2) Are there any differences between dealer prices in the same state? e.g. Watertown vs. Herb Chambers?

3) If I choose to go with a Toyota dealer for this service, does that void my warranty?

Thanks in advance for your help.

There are 2 dealers in my area. I called both to find out what the 10k service would cost.
One quoted $164 for oil change, balance and rotate and the usual check everything.
The other Dealer with the huge new building quoted $358. They add changing the cabin filter and "retorquing the drive line bolts.
For an oil change alone the wouldn't give me an exact price but "around $150

Here in UAE .. U have two choices .. 1- either U pay 2K usd for a service contract upto 100K km .. Total of 20-time services (one every 5k km) .. the only thing you have to pay for is the Price of the brake pads and the Brake disks if needed to be changed (No labour cost for any part changed) ..

So if u take the average , its around 100usd per 5k km ..

or 2- (No service cintract) pay around 150usd for oil + Oil filter + Lubricants .. thats the Minimum ... and you will pay for every Labour cost for any part changed.

So its better to pay for the service contract
