That's not really that unexpected. Last October, the LS460 was just rolling out. The launch numbers will always be high...

 

Bummer but I guess it is to be expected. It will be good for people who want one though.

I have to say that I really love the LS460. It is great looking, super reliable and you get a lot for the money. This car will bounce back when the economy does.

 

Not true. The car rolled out TWO years ago.

 

Economy is really bad and people are leaning towards a lower monthly car payment... not surprising.

sales of all luxury cars are down drastically the past 2 months, lexus isn't the only one hurting.

 

My bad...you guys are right. Hard to believe that the 460 body style has been out for 2 yrs now. Then what were the launch numbers and how do they compare??

 

Also keep in mind, supply of the LS's has been pretty low the last few weeks. A lot of places are totally out of SWB 460's.

 

Since the LS is so hard to get, and bought by so few, maybe it'll become a "Classic" and APPRECIATE in value! LOL

 

In another thread I posted an offer my dealer sent out offering a great deal on trade-ins on a new LS460. The deadline was Nov. 2nd. Well yesterday I got a mailer saying it was now "extended" to Nov. 30th.

I am so tempted to see what they would do taking my '07 in for an AWD '09. The only problem is I know they would not give me what I want.

 

Lots of luck trading it in on a new one. My dealer wouldn't even offer KBB wholesale. They give you some malarkey that they have to use California auction prices to determine the value of your car and those values are WAY below wholesale or local auction prices. And I notice a few of the salesmen are no longer on the property since the economy took a plunge. You could probably get a pretty good discount now on a CASH deal.
