I have Bridgestone Turanza P235/50R18 97V tires which were OEM on my 460L. At my recent 15K service, my tires were measured at 35% tread remaining. I don't drive particularly agressively - brakes are at 75% remaining. I think the V means these are V rated tires. Can I drop down to H or get V rated tires that have better wear. Looks like at this rate I will be lucky to get 20-25K miles. Thanks.

I went to about 29000 miles on my OEM Dunlops and then purchased Michelin Pilot A/S . I now have 32000 miles on the car. The Michelins are much quieter with the same handling or better and are supposed to last a lot longer

I had over 46,000 kilometers (just under 30,000 miles) on my LS when I traded it in (16 months). The 18" Bridgestone Turanza EL42s still had a lot of rubber left on them, about 35%, so I could easily have pushed them to 45,000 miles. 99% of our roads are bitumen asphalt, which is much easier on tires than American concrete highway surfaces.

I'm beginning to doubt my Dunlop Sport Maxx tires will make it to 20,000. They seemed to holding up fine until lately, when they suddenly began to show wear.
I'm at 14,000 miles now, and they already feel "harder" when I hit small ripples and bumps, etc. The tread depth has shrunken a good bit over the past 5,000 miles, and there's not a lot of rubber left before the treadwear indicators will start showing.
Guess I'll be ponying up some big dollars for Michelins a little while after the first of the year. Shortest life I've EVER gotten out of a set of tires. Boo on Dunlops.

Well, I got a nice surprise today. I had talked to Lexus Customer Service weeks ago about my crappy Dunlop tires and their uneven and accelerated wear, but had given up on getting any help from them.
Then, they called out of the blue today and told me they will replace my tires for free. YEEE-ha!![Woot](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/woot.gif)
I know one consideration is that I have owned 5 or more Lexus vehicles (can't remember for sure), and they cited my owner loyalty as one reason to give me a hand here. Whatever, it's a nice Christmas present not to have to fork over another $1,200-1,500 for a new set of skins!
Thank you, Lexus!![Thumb Up](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)

I have about 14,500 on these Dunlops, and I'm mainly just glad they aren't requiring me to put more of those on! No more Dunlops for this boy.

My 2009 600h went in for its 15K today and 2400 bucks later, I've got Michelins (OE were Bridgestones). Service advisor at Sewell in Fort Worth said she was shocked, but was told by Service mgr that 15 is all one could expect on the 600 (something about the weight from the batteries and all). I love these folks, but that sounds like all BS to me. This is my 9th Lexus and Bridgestones (and more especially the Michelins they were built to drive on) have never been a problem. Anybody else know anything about this?

I have the 600h on 19" OEM Bridgestone Turanzas EL42s. I rotate five tires about every 8,000 miles. I have about 25,000 miles on the odometer, and other than a little corner wear from positive camber, I estimate there are at least 15-20,000 more on there. I guess I could flip the tires around to balance the corner wear, but it's hardly worth the trouble.
