Sorry to hear about your accident - How did they hit the front of your car?

Laser Cruise - considering its a 2.8K (semi worthless) option IMO - I'm not surprised by 900+ to repair it.

Welcome to CL, sorry to hear of your accident, but it wasn't your fault, and whoever did that and didn't take responsibility, shame on them.

Hope you can get the Dynamic Radar Cruise Control feature fixed, it is a complex high-tech feature, and actually can be quite useful. It's however unsurprisingly expensive, but better get a new one than try to fix a smashed one. I assume you also will have some body work done (bumper, etc.)? Best wishes on getting your car back to normal...:\

My car was hit while parked about 2 months ago (I have a thread on here somewhere about it) and had to replace the front bumper and one of the parking sensors and one of the fog lights. The whole thing came to around $1280 (with tax). Fortunately the woman who hit me called and told me and it was handled by her insurance....just more of a pain in the rear (my rear) and the feeling that my car was now "damaged goods". However....looks good as new to me....and life did go on.

While nowhere is safe, I really go out of my way to park on the end in hopes that my car will be safer.

Fortunately the lazy people that consider it to be too much work to look when backing up are the same lazy people that won't walk an additional fifty yards. God forbid they burn a precious five calories
