What are folks doing if anything to prevent marks on the carpeted kick panels. Wife is concerned that she is 'kicking' these while getting into and out of the car - have an L with Tan interior. I was thinking about using ScotchGuard on them. Glad we did not go with the white interior...

Well I did the Scotch Guard thing last weekend.... car only had 74 miles on it and already had some marks in the back (see 2 and 4 year old's...) I am glad that we did not go with the Alabaster interior - even though its my favorite - its a non starter with Kids IMO.
Now I remember why I did not immediatley Scotch Guard my new Sequoia -- the Smell is quite strong. Started out doing it in the garage and quickly moved it into the drive-way. Left the car with doors wide open and windows down for an hour or 2 to get rid of the smell -- some interesting looks from the neighbors but it had to be done. Happy to report the Scotch Guard smell is gone and the 'new' car smell is back!
