"The 09 LS is worth more but the question is how much more."
The residual for an 08 LS460 SWB is about 40% this month for 3 year 15K miles. And 09 LS 460 is about 47% for the same 3 yr 15K miles. Given the 69k MSRP, it is roughly 4.8K of residual difference if you were to sell your car in 3 years with 45K on the odometer. Given the quote that you had, buying an 09 and 08 is more or less a toss up with 08 you probably save some sales tax (since your initial cost is lower, the sales tax should be lower as well) but the color combo should be a lot better with an 09... If you want to keep the car longer than 3 years, then 08 is probably a better bet since it's depreciation is going to slow down much more than an 09 as time go on. Good luck, I think if you want 08, you need to move.. Don't know if the 6K rebate for 08 will be avilable after 1/4 or so..

Hi, i'm pretty new to the forums and just been reading everything you all have been writing. I am trying to help my dad buy an 09 LS460 in starfire pearl (in cali), and i've spoken to about 5-7 dealerships about the pricing. I don't know if i'm a horrible at it or what, but they don't seem to offer me such low pricing?
Directed at BBQ: 8100 off MSRP for the 69k model of the 09, which dealership was that?
Lowest offer i've gotten is around 68k out the door.
Any help/ideas/contact persons who would give the good deal would be helpful, thanks!

I have since heard production has been cut down and the dealers are starting to offer less discounts. My local dealer will discount an 09 no more than $5,300.00.
Just bought an 08. MSRP $76,680. (It had dealer added pin strip, Teleois wheeels, etc.) Bought for $60,180.

Lex - per my PM Cerritos had a bunch (5) 69K cars available but that was 8 weeks ago. Did you make calls to each dealer and ask to speak with the fleet/internet sales manager - they should be able to get you quantity info SAP. During my search I found that dealers were even willing to find you the vehicle -- thats on a 14K off deal to BOOT.
