I'd like to second bhuwan's question. Certainly hope it wasn't Lexus of Sharon. EgermPA, if you prefer not to announce their name publicly, would you send me a PM? Thanks.

I have read this thread from first post till my own. It is a very sad story and I know people handle things different but that dealership just strong armed you 100%. Not disclosing information on what is obviously an accident is illegal even if they can and have fixed it. I would at least want the difference in depreciated value of the car. It has 1K miles on it not 100K, so it falls under so much protection, plus its a luxury car. They are very much so legally liable on so many levels, even in the interest of personal property damage. Like I said, I'd want them to cough up the difference in depreciation at the minimum. I have a feeling you may be the type of person that would live with something like this, but your fight may end up helping others in the end. They can not push people around like this, lye to you and force you to except their method of fixing things. I detail cars and damaged a car and told the lady I would repaint her entire car and not just the part that was damaged. No matter what you will be able to see the difference unless its a $10,000+ paint job. Good luck and good for you for being nicer then most, I guess that will come back to you in a good way in life.

I believe it's Herb Chambers Lexus in Sharon, MA.
They've won Lexus's Elite award for 13 years and running. Perhaps they should get the bully award for this one...

I'm not sure those awards always mean much, at least based on past experiences I've had (within and outside Lexus). One thing's for sure: that's a dealer that I've always stayed away from (except for a quote request a couple of years ago) and will continue to do so. In my opinion, there seems to be too much emphasis on being the largest and not enough focus on doing right by the customer, no matter what their advertisements say.
