I think we have a previous thread here mentioning that they may have a LS Sport model with different body kits and wheels with the facelift for 2010 ?
It's not going to be a LS-F though

Correct, those are the reports I was referring to.

Yes, I for one prefer the seven spokes because they are much easier to clean. The five-spoke star is fine as well, but makes the wheel look too massive. I like the look of the launch edition above, but would dread the thought of babying all those spokes.

Yea, that is it. They feel like plastic to me. I'm going to try cleaning one with a stainless cleaner, then take a picture of it and post in on here. Won't be until this weekend tho.

I saw someone else -Possibly Miniz post that the tips melted.... I always wondered how the SS melted. Let us know how the cleaning goes.

I'm sorry, but that looks like bicycle wheels on a big full-size car. Maybe I'm the only one here who thinks so, but for me the stock wheels are just right ... beefy enough, without being too heavy-looking. I DO NOT think that about the "L" wheels, which look like SUV wheels to me.

While I'm at it, I TOTALLY agree with Rom on the V-6 thing. NO!!! That's for econocars, and my 380hp Ls460 already gets over 18mpg city and over 30mpg highway. That's better than most of the V-6 cars of similar size out there anyway.

But it WOULD be nice if they'd tune it to take regular 87 octane gas, like many other DI engines do.

In addition:

- Unlock the friggin' Nav.
- Display trip computer info on the Nav screen.
- Display TPMS info on Nav screen, showing which tire has which pressure.
- Upgrade the Nav info to today's standards.
- Include XM Weather, with weather radar, like Acura.
- Turn signals in the mirrors, for safety.
- Hooks in trunk for nets on the SIDES to corral small objects.
- More wind noise. (Just kidding - that was for Craney.)
- PLEASE don't make radar cruise and lane departure standard. Please.

I took a closer look at them today, and the stainless steel looks like it is on the edge only (about a half inch deep), but the rest may indeed be plastic (polyurethane perhaps?). The stainless edge also looks like it is lacquered, so if and when it did overheat, it would probably fade yellow. As mentioned, the muffler's pipe is beyond that and is not attached to this assembly, however if excessively hot exhaust gases blow through there, they could conceivably affect those parts.

One other little suggestion:

How about a small lighted indicator on the gauge cluster showing the cruise control is engaged ... like almost every car in the world?

When I brake, or speed up to pass someone or whatever, I don't always remember if the cruise is still engaged or not. A quick glance to see if that little light is on would be a quick and easy indicator.

Wah???
Are you sure tHe LS doesn't have a cruise-on indicator???

Every car on the planet with cruise control has a dot or the word CRUISE???

If you brake, it automatically disables it.
If you speed up, it'll go down to it's set speed.

Am I missing something?

Green "Cruise" light is there, just to the right of the speedo. Yours may be burnt out. Documented in the owners manual also.

Yes, the Green cruise light is there, but it merely indicates the system is on Standby, not active.
