I live in Seattle and find the AWD is all I need for here in the city and most of the lower hills. I'll be driving across Vancouver Island BC next week and then up into the Canadian Rockies. The passes can have heavy (deep) unexpected snow so having the availability of chains for a short portion of the drive is prudent.

The 2009 LS460 WAD is new and no one seems to know the best snow chains for this model. I tried Thule 104 (as indicated in their charts and by the Thule distributor), but they don't fit the Bridgestone P235/50R18 that came with the car.

Anyone have a good source for snow chains that are easy to fit, quality made and properly fit this car and it's Bridgestone tires? Any thoughts on that very expensive Thule snow chain that bolts to the front of the tire?
