Anyone get a notification yet on the recall from your dealer? Phone or by mail? Thanks.

No, I did talk to the dealer and they told me to wait for something from Lexus in the mail. I haven't seen anything in the mail yet.

I'm in no hurry, we have snow on the ground here, so I wouldn't take my LS out of the garage.

I was not notified, but went into the dealership on Saturday and after checking the VIN number, they verifed the recall. I have an appointment for next Saturday.

I called my local dealership and when I gave them my VIN, was told my '08 was not involved in the recall.....go figure. Do they know up front all the VINs involved or do they slowly add them to the recall list?

My dealer called me today to let me know about the recall and schedule the service. Since we are having such a bad winter here in the Northeast, I don't want to take my car out on the road since there's too much salt. He said he would flag a note to call me later to schedule it.

I was very impressed with the customer service.

Just got my car back with the new fuel delivery pipes and injector seals installed.

They also installed the new redesigned B pillar covers which are now smooth without the bulge part way down. Much nicer looking.

Our LS460l is scheduled to go in this Thursday for the 15,000 mile service, and was advised by the SA that they will also be changing the fuel lines as part of the campaign!!!

So, for us with 2008 VIN's of 506xxxx and above, are we to assume Lexus just mysteriously stopped aluminum rails about a year and a half ago?

And if they knew it was a problem that long ago (and stopped using the aluminum ones), why is it just now an issue?
