Default 19 inch v. 18 inch wheels in 2009 LS460L AWD

Does anyone know? Can you purchase a 2009 LS460L AWD with 19 inch wheels? If so, how does it ride compare to 18 inch wheels? Are there any disadvantages of 19 inch wheels over 18 inch wheels?

i don't see how the 19s won't fit. maybe just need to talk to dealership about it

19s will ride harsher for sure, and tires more expensive. but it handle better, and look better of course

The difference between the stock 18s & 19s is very subtle. I noticed it initially when I changed over from the 460 to the 600, but only for a few days, so you'd have to have both in the garage to really make an accurate observation. I will be buying a set of snows on 18 inch stock rims this year, so I'll be able to assess this a little better.

There will be a subtle difference, with just a one inch difference, but I think it will be noticeable. Also note that you were comparing a LS460 with no air suspension & 18's with a 600hL with air suspension & 19s.

I am so spoiled by the ride of my LS460L with the 18's right now, & I actually set it in the comfort mode most of the time, since this car is not for spirited driving anyway, this is the best car over bumpy roads ever

I can notice even the subtle difference if the tires are a little overinflated. When I first got the car, I usually set it to normal or sport. But after I bought my car in for the first scheduled "inspection", & they set the tire pressures to 35 to 36 psi cold (norm should be 33), & I immediately noticed the ride got rougher. So I set it to "comfort", & even now, with the tire pressures back at 32-33 cold, I am happy to leave it in comfort.

With 19's, I would definitely leave it in the comfort mode all the time.

By the way, I think I saw your 600hL Friday evening, you are driving on 7 away from Coquitlam Centre, didn't you see a dark SC430 heading the opposite direction ?

Depends what time. I got home around eleven and used Pinetree to head up to the Plateau. Since there's not many around, then it probably was. The car would have been freshly washed.
