i have the vaistech and i have zero complaint about it. i never used the toyota ipod kit in depth, only installed it for my friend. they are probably about the same, though i find it easier to use the vaistech. my friend with the toyota ipod kit also says toyota one has some limitations

First I would like to say that if you have a i pod you need to get educated about portable devices. Next why would Lexus have to put in a adapter for your choice of a low tech product that is tied to a outside manufacture. One that ties you to DRM? Nothing wrong with after market add on's but to put in as part of the system I would be pissed...I realize that i pods are popular but so are Chevy's, keep that crap out of my car...Also knowing that car electronics is obsolete in a couple of years why would you not push for just a display built in with basic inputs then add what ever you what. They want you to trade your car in because of the built in electronics. Sheeple Wake Up...

what is the deal with Ipods?
I want a built in Zune adapter so it can infect my car.

I just had the Vaistech adapter installed at my dealer and I absolutely love it! I now have the song titles on the screen and full control of the iPod from the steering wheel of head unit. Not to mention the fact that the sound quality is WAY better than the aux input.

My next question, is it possible to reverse the Prestigious Society override so that it defaults to the override position? I rarely use the navigation and find that the override is now particularly annoying with the new iPod interface.

you mean to have the override on all the time by default? if that's what you mean, no you can't do that. but you can set it to manual mode, so when you start the car, you just press once to override and it will stay that way until you shut off the car
