Best Tire for LS?
I've had my LS for a couple of months now and love it. I like to accelerate a little quicker than Johnny-Law likes and I constantly find myself seeing the traction control light. It just seems that this car can't put the power to the ground without spinning the tires.
I have the touring package with the OEM Bridgestone Turanza (245/45-19) tires. Previously I had a BMW 7 with Michelin Pilot Primacy and it stuck to the road during acceleration WAY better than the LS. I live in Atlanta and snow is not a problem. Spinning the tires every time I punch the gas however...that's a problem.
Is anyone using the Michelin on the OEM 19" wheel? Are there any better performance tire recommendations?

The stock tires are not sticky at all, but you'll burn through them soon enough. Michelins will probably solve your problem with TC on, but the immense torque that the 460 puts out is enough to cause any tire to break loose when the TC is disabled.

I also have a four-wheel drive Jeep so I should have said that snow is not a problem for ME.
Besides, the mention of snow here in Atlanta shuts down the city. I've seen school closures on the prediction of snow. Pretty funny.

My opinion: you need to buy CHEAPEST tyre on the market 'cause LS is not a high-speed driving car ))) For example, I'll go with 21'' but don't need performance tires 'cause will use it on the public roads instead of track.

According to Tirerack's comfort/noise ratings, the Bridgestone Turanza Serenitys & Michelin Primacy MXV4s are tops for the Grand Touring All-Season class. On the other hand, the summer equivalents for the same brands don't seem to fare as well.
Kinda off topic but how do you like the led headlamps? Are they as good in output as the xenon?

They're not that great, only slightly brighter than conventional halogens. Frankly, I would prefer if they went back to the HID xenons on the 600. While the Kelvin color temperature is the same with LEDs, the lumen output just isn't there yet. So for the time being, LEDs are just a fashion statement.

Talking about cheap tire, can't beat those BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDWS (Ultra High Performance All-Season) for 2007 Lexus LS460 for $89.00 ea!
