I know how you feel. Hang in there. I am sure it will make a speedy recovery.

LOL. That sounds like a darn good idea. Maybe I can also talk my neighbor into caravaning to Big D with me in his LS also..... he can put his politico magnetic signs on the side of his car; BTW this guy just announced that he will "officially announce" next week to run as the $1 Governor of Texas.

Thanks, Goj. I'm resigned to it being at least Monday, so I'm not sweatin' it. I'll just drive their ES350 loaner until it gets patched up.

Hope the car gets well soon. I wasn't aware of this potential problem with the V8's.

Thanks, man. I had heard something about this awhile back, but I can't even remember for sure where I heard it. I have almost 29,000 miles on the car, so I didn't figure anything was wrong with anything.

Surpriiiise!

Update: Dealer called today (Fri.) and advised there is not a replacement valve spring anywhere in the united States.

They are ordering one from Japan, and he said it might be 18 days before it arrives.

Guess I'll get real acquainted with the ES350 before this is all over with.

Ask for a better loaner car, when one becomes available.

Well, the service department says that's a worst possible case thing, and they usually have this kind of thing in a week.

I have learned, though, to expect the worst in most situations ... it makes it better when something happens sooner.

I think I already have the best loaner ... they use ES's and RX's at my dealership. I think I'd rather have the car than the truckette.

Mike:

I am surprised. Maybe you can talk them into pulling one out from an engine waiting on the assembly line in San Antonio and then "hotshot" it to DFW. It is sad but you can make lemonade from the lemon ES, the mileage driven on the ES wouldn't accumulate into the lease allowables.

Some dealers have IS-F.
