Default Parking brake randomly engaging?

We just got our CPO 2007 yesterday but my father and I have noted that the car randomly engages the parking brake when it is started or if we are in the car in park for extended periods (for example programming the homelink). The problem doesn't go away unless we wiggle the parking brake switch. What is the cause of this or anybody else have this problem?

Is the Auto Parking brake feature turned on? If it is, the car will automatically engage the parking brake, when the gear shift is switched to Park.

^yea I did I turn off the auto, but it randomly engaged and then when I fiddled with the parking brake it went away and when I put the car into reverse it felt like it was working against the brake (even with no light on)...I hope this was just a stupid one time failure and we'll keep observing...my fear is having my mom driving it in case the brake randomly engages so I'm going to tell her to watch out and hopefully no problem, but if so its going to Lex next week...LOVE the car otherwise...

Good idea to keep observing...just remembering past member's histories, here may be some threads of assistance. Of particular note, there apparently was a TSIB regarding the brake hold feature in some 2007 LS 460s:

^you guys are incredible...though I read those threads--even as a noob I used the search to not be annoying...

I'm just hoping it doesn't come on when anyone is stopped at a light or worse yet while moving...I'll keep a watch and hopefully nothing happens and it was just missunderstanding the cars abilities and features...fingers crossed...I plan on taking it to Lex with a print out of all the TSBs and ensuring they were all run on this car
