05 Acura RL to 2009-2001 LS 460 AWD
I am nearing the end point of ownership on my '05 Acura RL. The car has no major issues, but at 123K, I feel its time for a change. The RL has been a good automobile, but not excellent, with some repair issues that I felt were excessive (driveshaft, HVAC).
I am hoping someone here has made the switch from an RL to the LS 460 AWD, and can provide some insight, and comparison between the two. I have no prior experience with the 460.
What I do like about RL is, the interior. The driver seat is very comfortable. The SH-AWD has been outstanding, and for my location, and type of driving, I need an all weather car. The electronics package is a plus, with the Nav being the best feature. I like the fact the Nav will allow changes while underway.
I am also impressed with how the RL performs with 123K miles of real world driving. The RL still drives, handles, and is as tight as the day I first drove it. I owned an Audi A6 prior, and the car after 100K was tired, both inside and out.
Would I purchase another RL? Only if the car was updated to a competitive level. I won't go into the details, most of the issues have been covered in other posts. One change that is a must...Acura has to get rid of the "Dog's *** Ugly Grill".
I look forward to any opinions and comments.
