Default My thoughts............

Coming from a 2006 GS430 to my new LS460L.....

This car is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2900 miles.....

The road tire/wind noise is VERY LOW, If I had to rate it compared to my GS and 2010 E they were about a 5 this car is a 10! very quite even at 80 MPH driving into the wind.

The sound system is pure and clear, 19 speakers WOW! Navigation works great. Oh yea, the "I agree" disappears without the need to acknowledge which is priceless. Ipod works great and can't wait to get a DVD override so I can watch movies while I'm driving.

The comfort/sport ride option works flawlessly. The difference is night and day. I took a trip to the mountains and used the sport option on the curvy roads, car felt tight and safe. On comfort the car is smooth and still handles very nice. The "high" option works great when the car is loaded with people, no sagging in the rear, etc..

The seats are comfy, the seat extension option is very nice.

Power is plentiful, more then enough, I'm pretty sure this car could beat my old GS but not sure.

On the bad side....

At first I felt there was tooooo much orange peel but after closely inspecting a few cars at BMW and Mercedes it's no so bad, but I still believe it could be better.

Over all I give this car a 9, best car I've ever owned and I've owned several in my 50 years.

Good Job Lexus! Your pursuit for perfection is obvious and you not far from it!!!!!

Sounds good! Congrats! Which brand of tires do you have? I've got the Cross Terrains on my GX, which have been great, and wonder if the GX460 comes with more than one brand.

More specifically it is when the paint finish looks just like the surface of an orange. Many freshly painted cars have orange peel but a good painter can wet sand the surface to a smooth finish. Waxing your car several time will decrease the orange peel of a new car or new paint job. Especially with quality paint. I noticed the Infiniti I had still had orange peel after 6 waxes. Highly unusual. Cheap paint.
