Default Corny but just want to say thanks!

Team -

I just want to say thanks to those that run this forum and those that regularly contribute. I am a car buff that strives to perform my own work wherever possible. That said, the LS460 is a huge technological step up for me from my other rides... Furthermore, addressing some of its few quirks would prove all too frustrating without the shared individual thoughts and experiences available here (extra shout out to jmcraney!!!).

I access this site probably as much as most people access Facebook. The variety of information, from inspirational mods to regular maintenance/TSiBs (and dealer service smackdowns) are absolutely invaluable.

My CPO LS460 is much better now than the day I bought it. 'Nuff said.

Cheers,
LS460LOVE

That's the greatest thing about CL.... networking with others and helping others out when in need.

I have to ditto what ls460love has said. I am a new member here too. I have learned some much from all the members since I have joined this elite CL group. Any question that I have had about the ls460 has been answered on this forum. Thanks to everyone(that of course includes lexus grand master tech - jmcraney) and I hope I can return the favor.

What have you done to improve the LS if you don't mind me asking?

Gladly! Well I haven't gone the real mod route yet so this may not be the most enthralling report. A real gem has been the TSiB discussions. I:

- diagnosed and remedied a number of rattles in the dash (predominately outlined via TSiB). Referencing the instructions, I performed the work personally. I am very patient and meticulous as possible, understanding the root cause of the issues and what I can do to remedy them. I avoided all harsh surgery the factory prescribes and entrusts techs to fulfill. I was able to accomplish a significant amount, although I haven't achieved perfection. I believe I've found the greatest gains without damaging the integrity of other components in my wake

- integrated the Jmcraney fix

- had the glove compartment replaced (for proper alignment and no rattle)

- marred foam B-pillars replaced with upgraded rubber

- Fuel rail replacement

- (Seat foam replacement coming soon)

I am also personally performing regular service on the vehicle. This is limited to oil changes, tire rotations (obvious of course), diff flush and fill. I have always done this with my other vehicles, but CL gave me the info/guts to attempt it with the LS.

My vehicle was CPO, which means the bumpers were repainted (excellent repaint I might add). Unfortunately, the rear bumper was not perfectly aligned to the fender (very slightly off) and I utilized a mod picture thread to understand the attachment of the part and rectify the situation properly.

So in other words, the board has helped me in my relentless pursuit of perfecting my bone-stock ride. It has made my driving and ownership experience much more pleasing, not to mention saving significant money and time.
