I take it you are not a reseller or broker.

No, I'm not either one. Just someone who found a car at the dealer and see what I should offer for the car.

Default Manheim Auction Question

A broker told me today that, unlike other manufacturers, Lexus offers lease vehicles to retail dealers by auction before the Manheim auctions for a broader broker audience, so that Lexus models are 'picked over' before they get to the Manheim auctions. Anyone know if this has any truth to it?
Thanks and regards.

Smile The local Mercedes dealer in Va Beach,Va had a LS460L for....

....42,999 and it was loaded(All options except executive seating). Had 40,000 miles on it. Someone just got it yesterday and I just saw it in person on the 24th of Feb.! It was black interior and silver exterior. Must have been a trade because it was the only Lexus on the lot. Just wanted to say what I saw and the price because I think it was a good deal. Wasnt for me but, someone got a GREAT deal!!!! L.G.N.M

Default 2009 460L with 13K miles

MSRP is $83K and the dealer is asking $60K for it. I want to put in my initial offer at $54K, and go no higher than $57K. What do you think?

Thanks

It would be a great deal if you can get it at that price. Average Manheim sale price for 2009...
LS460 LWB with 18K miles - $58,750.

LS460 SWB with 13K miles - $51,986

I agree with dimapb, if you can get that deal and its in your budget do it! GREAT DEAL!!!! Soon as the economy recovers the deals will cease to be as sweet. We may have another year or so to get good deals such as the dealer asking $60,000 for such a car. That $60,000 alone is a great deal to me. L.G.N.M

It does seem that dealers at Lexus dealerships and independents are dealing more now than ever. Great time to buy if you see what you like and the features and color combos are there! I still havent found a deal suitable for my taste. Saw a small wheel base and feel it is smaller interior wise than the 2001-2006 visually. On the other hand the long wheel base is very spacious visually and may be the wheel base I pick!!! Dont get me wrong, the small wheel base is a great buy as well. I may still opt for it. Its a tough choice so Im being extremely patient!!! L.G.N.M
