Lexus es350 /2008.. Just had 10k service ... They used 0/20 full sybtheic oil ... Called and was told that lexus made the change but never recd anything in the mail from lexus ..
So wondering if oil changes are still 5k or now longer ?

I'd suggest calling them again. They used full synthetic without advising you in advance which is interesting. Ask them when next oil change should be done (how many miles).

Can you also use 5w-20 in place of 0w-20 in warm climates?

You can, but I wouldn't. You can purchase OW 20 Mobil 1 at Wal-Mart. Or go to a Toyota dealer and purchase Toyota 0W 20. It's labeled for them by Mobil 1.

Same here, although I typically change around 7500 / 6 months anyway, just for added peace of mind. OCD.

I am still driving a old LS 400 but soon will look at a 460 I am using mobil one extended service which is good to go at 15,000 miles oil changes I have always changed at 10-15,000 miles since 1986 getting 529,000 miles on a toyota cressida and everythng was perfect so going 10,000 miles or 1 year is what I have done with no problems in 24 years using mobil 1
