Only reason to go with an 06 is it is younger or has less miles but you can find 04-05 with low miles as well.
Wow, thanks for this info! If I don't go for the newer LS 460, I'll concentrate on finding a low mileage LS 430 Ultra Luxury. It's always nice to get the top of the trim when you can. Is there a link or place on the web where I can see what specifically the differences are between UL and CL for instance? In most of the dealer ads, it doesn't specify which package it has. I would have to have the Nav, back up camera and ML at a minimum. In a perfect world, if I went with a 430 in instead of the 460 which I doubt I would but I haven't driven a 430 yet, I'd want all the goodies I could get!

I know some people are biased towards one or the other. If I did go for the 430, I would want to get the "hottest" color combo. The interior would have to be black but I usually go with silver exteriors for easier maintenance. For a LS 430, maybe black would be "badder" or hotter looking without being ostentatious.

Cheers,
Steve R

well, i'm in LA, i can access manheim's site but i really would rather deal with a certified car, i've been giving offers but i dont know, dealers dont care about the depression..

i'm just disappointed that most of them i find dont have power door closers and other fun features. it really sucks, it's like a glorified camry.

i compiled a list of pretty much only FLORIDA ls460's, 2007 and 2008 that have been sold at manheim for april.. it's annoying, i checked some other states and it is not nearly as much anywhere else, florida definitely has the most (makes me feel like i want a geezers car)

i sort of dont want to post it so lexus people dont read it and keep the prices up as i low ball. oh well, if they dont give me the deal i wont get the car.

these are post-sale results in orlando and ft lauderdale, seems like orlando has the most...

That's where my my orignal thoughts was, is to wait a couple more year. But it now involved my awsome wife, who actually ask me to get a new car; I wonder if I'm over due.

I'm in the market for an 07 LS 460 too but would have sell 2 older German cars of mine to get it. I long for a reliable car on one hand, but I'd miss the diversity of having two totally different cars (96 911 and 01 BMW 740i).

Good luck with your decision. If there was an Enterprise rental car place that I could just rent an LS 460 for 2 days I'd do it! I don't want to even ask a Lexus dealer to do this for me, I doubt they would in the first place (lend me one for a day) and even if they would, I don't want to feel obligated to them for the huge favor.

I can't tell if I want a "new" car unless I have some serious seat time in it. I guess that means I'm not totally sold on getting it yet, as well. I keep looking at the LS 430's too, 04's to 06's. I can't tell what the difference is between these 3 years. I don't really see much cosmetic difference either on them. Why would someone get the more expensive 06 if the 04 is exactly the same car, wheels and all? Or is there something, anything different?

Sorry to stray from your great topic. Just wondering. Thanks!
I could not agree more with you more about the demo, let me know if you find a way.

Btw, as far as a for a great car, I don't think you will be disappoint in the LS430. If you unsure about its handling quality, there's always afteramrket upgrade that can take care of that.

We currently have an '04 430 and an '09 460. The 460 is a great car, but it is not a revolutionary change. In fact there are many areas where the 430 seems more refined (thicker sheet metal, interior trim quality, quieter engine, etc). At $10K you have a far better car than others selling for similar prices.

electro made a great point, sounds like the reviews on the LS460 are mixed amongst Lexus owners and those who actually support Lexus. Part of the reason I havent jumped on the LS460 purchasing line myself. Im amazed at how many LS loyalist as well as Lexus loyalist have said the car isn't much better after trading or upgrading to the LS460.

Of course there are SEVERAL who left the LS430 for the LS460 and LOVE it. Im a bit concerned about the direction LEXUS is going in. The wind noise issue has gone on much to long. Lexus has been a one year issue next year fixed car company!!! To have not addressed this issue shows me that LEXUS is developing some of the arrogance I saw in Benz and BMW as well as Jag before they allowed Lexus in the game and Lexus went on to take a chunk out of the classic luxury models shares!!

Electro has the right idea. As I drive my LS I say why not go get a 2005/2006 for much less while keeping the reliable model we have in the 2001-2006 range and wait for the next LS update. Its maybe 3-4 years away anyway!!! L.G.N.M
