Question seeking counsel on buying a 2007 LS 460

I am new to the forum. I am planning to upgrade to LS 460 (2007).
What would be a reasonable price for one with 30-40K miles and Navigation.
I live in TN, a local dealer quoted $50k for one with >40K miles on it.
If this has been posted before, apologies tendered. Kindly refer me to the relevant post/thread.

Thanks

Mo Kenny

I'm in the same potential boat and have been looking every day on cars.com. $50k is ridiculous for an 07 in my opinion. Have you checked cars.com yet? I would think with any of the asking prices on there the eventual price would be at least $2k less as well.

Good luck and broaden your search if local dealers are asking that much. My one friend just got an 08 without Mark Levinson sound system but with the nicer, 5 spoke wheels in his #1 choice color for $45k plus tax and tags, very low miles as well. Another friend got an 07 LS 460L with the executive rear seat for $40k but that was a rare, great deal.

I was in the same boat in Jan. I hope it does not sink. BUT I purchased a LS460 with 30K miles from a broker not the dealer certified one. If you buy from a dealer you will pay high 40s and up for a car. I purchased a one owner executive lease car. Nothing was wrong with the car and it still have 1 year factory warranty. I paid 41 for my car. I will buy a 4/yr 100K miles warranty at the end of this year for 2600. I put tires on the car, window tinting, 30K lexus checkup that included rear brakes. Just because it is from a dealer does not mean you will not have to fix something on the car. Look around and don't get in a hurry. A lot of lease cars are coming off lease now. Watch ebay and autotrader. You will be able to find one around 40K soon. This site has saved me hundreds of $$. Welcome

Team -

I'm considering selling my 2007 LS460. It's super clean, 43K miles. Silver w/ black and rosewood interior, standard 18" wheels. Mark Levinson audio, Navi, door closers, comfort package (all 4 seats have ac, rear seats also adjustable) heated steering wheel, self parking, etc.

I absolutely love this car and really don't want to part with it. It's strictly my pleasure car that's 100% garage kept and all records/documents available. (I have an older Acura 3.2 TL that's my daily workhorse...)

We are adopting a child (our third) and I NEVER let the kids in my vehicle. With soon to be three kids in tow, the wife is on me to make a shift to something more utilitarian. If you'd care to have a conversation on the topic, see pics, et al., please email me at mderins@gmail.com or call 215.840.1857. I'd like to see $40K.

To give you an example of my standard, I have a neighbor that expressed interest but I'm not interested in him as a buyer. He doesn't take care of his vehicles and has a garage that's not used for cars. Both are unacceptable . Anyway, I'd love to find a good home or no home at all.

Hey buds...I will give you my perspective on the price-STAY AWAY.

I just picked up my car almost 2 weeks ago...like you I was searching for over a month so I kind of have an idea of what these cars are selling for.

You have to be patient and take your time.

I picked up a 2007 LS 460L with every option but executive option...with 34K miles..and its a Certified Pre Owned car...warranty to 100K or April 2013...I paid 38477 plus taxes...shop around and you will find a good deal.

best of luck buds

There is a real nice 2007 in St. Louis, MO with 11,000 miles with ML/Nav asking 47,500.00

The dealer is Progress Point Mercedes. They have a website and you can look at the car. It looks like it's in great condition with very low miles...

Didn't you just buy this car at auction 1 month ago? May I ask why you are selling so soon?

Thanks and good luck with the sale. If it was silver with black interior, I'd be emailing you about it now.

Mo, that definitely is way too high. Go to Kelley, Edmunds and NADA and check their used car prices for a better price range.

Side note: ls460love, you have my admiration!

Thank you for the kind words Nospinzone! One of the hardest things in pondering this sale is leaving this forum. We'll see if it happens ...

One of the hardest things in pondering this sale is leaving this forum.

Heck, you don't have to leave the forum. Proof of ownership is not a board requirement.

In fact, I think even our grand high exalted poobah leader rominl doesn't own an LS any more!

(apologies to Ralph Kramden and the Racoons for use of their trademark name)

I understand this better than ever, now. My buddy that got the 07 LS 460 with the 19" 5 spoke wheels 2 months ago is already looking at 09 AWD's and 10 Sports! He said his next car will be the LS 460 Sport due to the pics I sent him from this forum.
