Default Just got mine.. iPod mount question

Hi guys,

I just got my '07 CPO, couldn't be happier. The first time that thing parked itself... wow, even weirder than on Youtube! I'm a very happy camper.

One quick question: does anybody have a source for a good iPod mount? I would like to keep the iPod in reach rather than in the center console or glovebox because my daughter likes to search for tracks. So mounting it nicely somewhere in the front is my next task. Does anyone have any ideas/lead/experience/photos?

i tried everything - the best item i came up with is a cup-holder mount. unfortunately it takes up one cup holder, but its the best place for my iphone/ipod.

After long research, I can only find three possibles.

The first one is just a clean metal mounting plate. I technically like this (it's small, anything can be mounted on it), but I don't see how this will not move around, seeing that it only slides in and doesn't screw into anything:

The second one is from ProClip. I don't think I like to look of this, it doesn't look integrated:

The third one, which is the one I will order unless someone has another good option, is the custom mount from Kuda. I've had one of these in my SC430, and it was great. The difference to the LS is that in the SC, they matched my ecru leather. For the LS, they only offer it in grey and black.

i have a proclip in my 350z - works great

if you use the kuda, you are going to have to get a very long ipod cable (or ipod cable and extension). I thought about this one, and if i had bought it, i would have run the cable in the console and out near the dash. Too much trouble for my needs.

what ever you get - make sure the holder fits with your case. otherwse, you will hve to take the iphone/ipod out of the case each time.

All kidding aside. I use VELCRO on the back of my ipHone. The soft side on the phone, the hard side just above the CLIMATE button on the NAV unit. Works great and is virtually free.
