Would like to know what people have replaced their bulbs with and what works the best. Fog lights and headlights. I have a 07 LS460L and want to replace the fogs and possibly some of the headlight bulbs as well. I thought maybe the 12k purple bulbs would be nice but I'd like to know peoples experiences and maybe even brands used.

I thought this would be an easy reply. I saw on a thread someone replaced the position lamp with an LED bulb but I cant seem to find where to buy those and I want to order a 10-12k HID fog light replacement but am afraid to order a crap kit.
Someone has read this that could give some advice I'm sure of it. ...... Anyone?

There was a post in the vendor forum about this .... you can try to search for it. I wanted to change my fog lights to a bluish tint ... but I don't know what to get as well.

Personally I wouldn't recommend 12K for headlights.
The color temperature 3000k is golden yellow, most suitable for fog lights. The higher the temperature the more blue is in the color of the bulb. Maximum light output is around the 4000k-4500k (OEM halogen headlights are around 4100k-4300k) temperature, so if you are going for maximum brightness I recommend the HID 5000k or 6000K. The higher the kelvin temperature (k) the deeper the blue color of the light will be.

or are you confused and think you have purchased a mid 90's Honda Civic street racer that used to belong to a 16 year old kid? Why not just throw a set of the $5 purple 'HID look' bulbs in the lights and be done? 12k? Are you crazy? Your stock headlamps are around 4300k. The max you should go is 5000k. After that you look like a street racer or a clueless idiot who likes reduced light output.

Yikes miniz! Did a ricer run over your dog or something?
I replaced my fog light bulbs with the Silverstar Ultra 9006 SU/2. These are 4100K. They don't match the headlights but they are a vast improvement over stock. Looking at the pictures from freedom above, I really like the detail of the road (from inside the car) of the 6000K bulbs.
Here was my post and pics of my replacement back when.

Good luck with your upgrades.

Freedom88 Thanks for the chart. I hadnt seen a comparison chart yet.
miniz, Clearly your opinion is the only one that counts right
That being said I do agree seeing them side by side that 10 and 12k are completely out. I will most likely go with the 6 or 8k. Until I saw the comparison I had no clue the higher temp would actually get less performance.
I want to keep my stock HIDs but want to replace my fogs with a HID replacement kit and have checked out many suppliers on eBay. Of course each of them say that theirs are the best bang for your buck though. Also wasnt sure what other lights have been replaced in the lights themselves. I know the lights have several bulbs in them. I also plan to do the LED position lamp replacment.
Thanks for all with constructive ideas and comments. Further guidance would be appreciated.
