Default Doors would not lock

Last weekend on two different occasions I could not get the doors to lock.
When i exited the car it beeped 3 times then when I pressed the door lock it just gave a continuous beep and the doors would not lock. The first time after getting back in the car and exiting it locked. the next day when it happened again it would not lock even after starting the car and shutting it down again.
I finally moved the car a few feet and it locked when I exited.

few Q's

1) are you sure there is not another remote in the car? I would think it would be consistent, but depending on where it is, it may not be, I had that experience
2) each door has an ECU in it that handles several functions, locking being one of them, the back drivers door is located with the fuse box in the trunk, the other three are actually in the door. Are you sure that when you lock the doors all of them are locking? what happens when you try to lock the car from each door, is it consistently doing this?
3) it could be a weak battery in your remote also, if its not new, drop a new one in and see if that helps
4) could also be a weak battery, check the battery to see that its fresh and has water levels appropriate.

Thanks
It would not lock from any of the doors and the other remote was at home
It could be a weak battery in the remote. It is about 2 years old

As a habit I change mine out every year about new years, The batteries are easily purchased on EBay or Radio Shack etc, and just the piece of mind is worth it. My guess would be that its the remote battery, but a good time to double check the car main battery too, the LS is electrical centric.

Hopefully its just a few bucks for a remote battery and problem solved.

Also double check you havent bumped the sunroof open or tilted. Continuous beep can mean a door (or sunroof) is not closed.
