Default Different rim widths or not?

Has anyone replaced their wheels with aftermarket rim 20"+ with the same width rims front and back. Every example that I have seen on the forum has wider rims in the back. I am thinking that if I wanted a sportier look this would be good but I was thinking the same on front and back would look more even on the car and also it would let me rotate tires later

Any comments or opinions on this?

of course you can do it the same width front and back. most of us go staggered coz' it looks better. our cars are rwd so yes it's better handling, but because the rear fenders are more aggressive, if you go same width and offset, the rear would look more sunken in.

I see on the rear wheels. I wouldnt want it to be sunken in. I was thinking the offset would compensate for that but am I wrong. If I need the wider rear rims to fill it in I will though

you can think of it this way. if you get same width wheel, let's say 22x9.5 all around with the same offset, so that your front is flush with the fender. what happens is the rear you will probably have 1/2" or more gap between wheel and fender. that's why with staggered setup it will look better

now of course, you can get the same width wheels and different offsets so both front and rear look better, but with that, you won't be able to rotate the wheels

personally i don't really care much about rotating the wheels. i just change my front tires (pair) and rear tires (pair) separately

Makes sense. I think I will end up going with 20x9.5 and 20x10 in the rears
