Default Aftermarket alarm for the 460.

Is it necessary? I plan on putting custom wheels on the car and was wondering if the factory system is good enough or do I need an aftermarket. If so, what are some good suggestions?

IMO the factory system is excellent, but it wont stop anyone from taking your rims or anything inside if they want it bad enough. I dont care for aftermarket systems, they tend to have a mind of their own and introduce issues that you didnt have before, at least in the experience I had with them. I tried Vipor, Clifford etc.. and all of them had quirks.. the factory system is consistently dependable for what it does.

Thought about Lojac or the propietary Lexus system? You want noise, ignition lockout, or being able to locate the car after it's stolen? As to the wheels, you can get a locking nut for each one, depending on which style wheel youto decide on. Lojac is not available for every area, though available in most metro areas. I'm not sure about the Lexus system, which is based on a subscription. Lojac is a one time expense.
