Default LS460L Headlight to Hybrid Conversion

Hi Everyone,

First post on this forum, but I'm looking at converting my LS460L headlight to the hybrid version. I've contacted my parts supplier and he mentioned that there's two different models, Pre-Crash or Non-Pre-Crash model headlights. I dono how to tell if I have that option, but when I mentioned I have active cruise control, he said, I have the Pre-Crash model, which makes the headlights almost double the price. So I'm asking for advice for those that have done the conversion, are there two different models for the headlights? Thanks very much for any help.

Sounds like a giant waste of money for no gain whatsoever. The lights have got to cost at least $2000 each, plus installation. Money you never ever see again. Save that money for a real hybrid if that is what you want.

The 600 costs well over US$300K, new in SE Asia. So this upgrade is probably a desirable alternative considering that the earlier 600's in SE Asia were not equipped with LED headlights, although the new 2010s are.

Nothing tops the look of exclusivity in Asia.

Well if that is the case, then the headlamps probably cost $6000 each or $12000 for the set, plus installation in Asia. That means it is even more of a super giant waste of money. You would be better off throwing $12000 into a trash can and lighting it on fire.

hey guys, you guys aren't even answering my questions. FYI, the headlights cost 3000 for the set, and installation is free. So we can put the waste of money to rest. Plus, this is not a thread about how I want to spend my money, I earned it, I spend it how i like. I'm just looking for some info the the headlights, not advice on how to spend or waste my money. And yes, the hybrid cost over 300k, its not a 100k car, like in the states. I'm looking for those who have done this conversion to chime in. Thanks.

One poster, elsmooth did the conversion, and a discussion including where he obtained information took place here.

Good Luck!
