Quick question- What size is the Sub woofer on the 08 LS460 ML SYSTEM?

And is it located the same place as the ls430??

It is a 10" 200 RMS or so subwoofer, and it is located in the middle of the rear deck.

Has any one replaced the factory sub and installed a sub in the trunk? If so how easy was the install? I like the ML system and i think it sounds great but im gonna want a lil more thump when i get my hands on my 07 or 08 460L.

I thought I wanted the same thing before picking mines up but it seemed that the one I test drove before with the ML had a blow sub so I wasnt getting the bass I wanted. When finally got my hands on the one I have now, it sounded totally different and I will not be upgrading anything on this sound system. I listen to mostly hip-hop, R&B and some rap.

I listen to the same genres of music as well so maybe i just have to really test one cuz coming from having my SC400 with a 12" sub in the trunk I'd imagine missing having that extra thump....i guess ill have to really try one out

Does the subwoofer on the LS460 have the same issues as the LS430 subwoofer?

The ml system of the 08 is superior to the older ml system- I would say one to 10 the newer model is a 9 and the older model is a 7.5, not a huge difference to grandma- but a monster difference to someone who knows. All factory radios could use a little more thump.
